Susan Ryder

M.S.W.

Licensed Therapist
(269) 327-7632 + Ext. 33

Specialty Areas: I am experienced in the mental health and substance abuse fields, treating substance abuse, depression, anxiety, and transitional issues. My emphasis had been working with substance abuse and related family issues (adults, high school and college age adolescents). I also have experience treating the elderly, working with the issues of aging, grief and loss, and other stressors that impact mood and quality of life.

Education/Experience: Master's degree from Western Michigan University in 1997, Hospice Training, Post Graduate Training in Internal Family Systems, Certified Equine Therapist in 2003.

Treatment Philosophy: As we relate to our changing life experiences, our growth and fulfillment can be diminished through established patterns of fear, self doubt, and addictive behavior. Therapy is a collaborative process that can uncover and dismantle that which blocks us from a fuller experience of ourselves.
