Specialty Areas: I have worked in a variety of settings with children and their families. I have worked in mental health as a counselor, residential placement coordinator and as an infant mental health specialist. I was employed in the public schools for 15 years evaluating and treating children with emotional and neurological challenges. I am trained in art and play therapies and utilize these tools to assist children with varying learning styles. In addition, I am trained to evaluate sensory issues that may interfere with learning and socialization.
Education: Master of Social Work, 1987 Post Graduate work study with infants/toddlers/children and their families
Treatment Philosophy: I have a passion for assisting children and their families to better understand and overcome obstacles that prohibit full potential. I work with each child’s unique strength to build a repertoire of coping strategies that allow them to grow into confident and loving adults.
