MATT ZARANTONELLO

PH.D.

Treatment Philosophy: I am a Fully Licensed Psychologist in Michigan and Indiana with over 25 years of experience providing individual psychotherapy to adults. I appreciate that taking the first step to ask for help and to meet a new therapist is a brave and challenging step. I will do my best to learn as much as I can about your unique background and experiences, especially your strengths and what you feel is holding you back in life. The therapy I provide is a collaborative process in understanding you and maintaining continual feedback about how well you feel you are progressing. I use client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, and insight-oriented therapy to treat problems with anxiety, depression, and reactions to life changes such as sudden unexpected loss, trauma, PTSD..

Education/Experience: I earned my Master’s Degree and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago. In addition to providing psychotherapy, I have extensive experience teaching psychotherapy to psychologists in training as well as Psychiatry Residents. I also currently hold the position of Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at WMED.

Other professional affiliations and achievements include:

Lifetime Member – American Psychological Association
