Specialty Areas: My clinical focus provides support to adults (18 years and older) in individual and couples therapy. My expertise includes treating substance use disorders and mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD and grief issues. My experience also includes working with resistant populations and those uncertain about treatment and/or their desire to make changes in their life.

Education: Master’s degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago / Western Michigan University. State of Michigan Fully-Licensed Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Post-graduate training in substance use and disorders and integrated healthcare.

Treatment Philosophy: I believe effective therapy can only take place in a safe and respectful environment. My initial focus with any client is to establish a level of trust that will allow for open sharing and growth. I approach treatment from a strengths perspective, and strongly believe in the importance of unconditional positive regard for each individual. I incorporate elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing to assist my clients with developing improved coping skills and new ways of thinking/feeling about life’s challenges.
