Treatment Philosophy: I believe effective therapy can only take place in a safe and respectful environment. My initial focus with any client is to establish a level of trust that will allow for open sharing and growth. I approach treatment from a strengths perspective, and strongly believe in the importance of unconditional positive regard for each individual. I incorporate elements of person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing to assist my clients with developing improved coping skills and new ways of thinking/feeling about life’s challenges.
