Audrey Hasser

MA, LPC

Specialty Areas: I enjoy working with people struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, PTSD, OCD, and life transitions such as starting college, entering the workforce, or relationship transitions. I have years of experience working with PTSD, complex trauma, various forms of anxiety and panic, depression, OCD, and Bipolar Disorders.

Treatment Philosophy: I believe therapy starts with the therapeutic relationship, building trust and getting to know you, your inner world, and environment with empathy and active listening. From there, I will structure treatment based on your needs and goals, whether that is working on building awareness and skills in a supportive environment, or utilizing a more structured approach such as EMDR to process trauma and reduce reactivity. I often blend in education about neuroscience, helping you understand what is happening in your brain and nervous system. I believe a warm approach with both compassion and accountability helps create lasting change.

Education: I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ball State University. I have been trained in several evidence based treatment practices including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), amongst others. I am DBT-informed to teach skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
